isn't so sure about a certain variety to plant for his/her client, or a new grower who wants help making the right decision on planting locations,
Richard & Lynette can help.
"Our one -on- one consulting services are really more like a personalized workshop," Lynette says. "It is not for people who just have a few questions. When I go into a consulting session, I literally start from the ground up to help the lavender grower assess their land, soil condition, watering needs, etc. so, the lavender varieties that are planted will have the healthiest start in it's beautiful new surroundings.
Richard & Lynette have helped lavender growers all over the Shasta County, CA area to grow the fragrant herb by providing excellent advice on planting, irrigation and fertilizing techniques. "I love the challenge of helping people," Richard says. "I listen to their questions and then go over ways their lavender growing experience can become more successful."
Consulting fees vary depending on your individual needs, but generally start at $185. for a full eight-hour day. When travel is required, additional travel-related costs will be billed. Consulting is limited to a 125 mile radius of Whitmore, CA. We require a 2 hour minimum when scheduling. (2 hour minimum does not including travel time, travel time is billed at an additional fee of $ .55 per mile)

Richard & Lynette have been a steady force in the Shasta County, CA lavender industry since 2003, and they have propagated more than 25,000 plants. The City of Redding, CA credit's the Gooches skills for helping to Beautify the Sculpture Park Mediterranean Garden with nearly twenty different varieties of Stoeches (Spanish) Lavender.
Over Sixty lavender plants surround the foot of the large water fountain in Sculpture Park at City Hall. Richard & Lynette continue to increase their knowledge of lavender by means of personal experience and self education. Lynette is in the research stage of writing a book about growing and using lavender in several different mediums. Richard is in the next phase of development for our vineyards and winery.
